Guards was the first performance of the performative duo VIGIL. I’ve participated as a creator and performer of this work along with Despina Sanida Crezia. Guards was commissioned by Vaskos and PCAI and was performed at Diomedes botanic garden during the exhibition “Sheltered Gardens”.

VIGIL’s fragment: “A walk with two starting points in two different areas of the garden. The two performers communicate from a distance and without visual contact via walkie-talkie throughout the entire duration, guiding, encouraging, or simply chatting with each other. A combination of immediate stimuli from the surrounding environment and a set of instructions (scores) that define their patrol in the space direct their actions. To Guards is a performance-observation on trust, friendship, and loneliness.”
