These words flooded my tongue and crashed into my teeth
(like) a fence between the air and (my)the tongue
These words are here with us today
In this non-stop fall
This is a non-stop fall
This is the way it seems to be
If there is a side, I would rather split this body in between
There is a fence that splits my guts
I have to spit this out before my head will crash
A boundary rider - riding a five mile fence
Well rehearsed - Highly decorated
but no vision - no sense

The Fence is a performance/spoken work of split nature, a mouthed try out on collapse and blend of collective and personal illusions. An ever ending text reveals barriers that fall apart and reform, deconstructing realities moment to moment.
It speaks in fragments—a torrent of confessions, contradictions, refusals, and borrowings.
Using both ready-made and custom-made texts and informed by physical performativity, the piece stitches together porous, volatile, unresolved thoughts for troubled times. During the performance, various space, sound and voice -specific sources are activated while the performer remains overexposed to this sharing among the people in the space.
